Registration procedure for the graduation Ceremony 2018

Students who graduated in the Fall Semester 2017-2018, as well as those who are expected to graduate in Spring and Summer 2017-2018, are called to abide by the following procedure, in order to participate in the graduation ceremony which will take place on Tuesday July 3, 2018.

1. A request to participate in the graduation ceremony
A request to participate in the graduation ceremony happens online, on the USEK website, (register here)

Deadline: Thursday May 31, 2018 (No request will be accepted after this date)
Students can insert a short sentence or a quote, which will be written, under their photos, on the Graduate Yearbook.

2. Deposit of a guarantee:
a. 100 USD * for students wishing to participate in the ceremony
b. 50 USD ** for students wishing to rent the gown only
Place: Accounting Office – Student Service (Registrar)
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Deadline: Thursday June 07, 2018 (No request will be accepted after this date)
* 50 USD will be refunded for students who participated in the ceremony when you return the gown and collect the DVD and photo
** 40 USD will be refunded when you return the gown

3. Collect your graduation gown and take pictures of yourself wearing it
Place: Backstage of John Paul II Amphitheater
Date: Please respect the date chosen upon your online registration
Proper dress code required (white shirt and a tie for men and a white shirt for women)

4. Collect the Invitation cards
Place: Student Affairs Office
Date: Wednesday June 27 to Friday June 29, 2018 from 8:30 am till 2:00 pm

5. The graduation ceremony
Graduate students: your presence is mandatory in John Paul II Amphitheater at 3:00 pm wearing your graduation gown
The Commencement Ceremony will take place in the Students Parking
Date: Tuesday July 3, 2018

6. Restitute your graduation gown, Collect the ceremony DVD & photo & Refund the deposit
Place: John Paul II Amphitheater Date: from Monday August 6 to Friday August 10, 2018 - from 8:30 am till 1:00 pm
After August 10, 2018, the deposit will not be refunded.

IMPORTANT REMARK
  • This procedure is applicable for the students of the Main Campus of Kaslik and the Regional University Centers of Chekka, Rmeich and Zahle.
  • Participation in the graduation ceremony cannot be considered as valid proof of having obtained a degree/diploma.
  • Students can cancel their participation in the ceremony and request a refund of 90 USD before June 15, 2018 by sending an email to sao@usek.edu.lb
